Love finds itself represented in nature, words, music, photographs and art. In the Indian context, we see a beautiful relationship between birds and romance especially in the tales about the romantic god, Kamadeva.
Seated on a parrot, Kamadeva, the Indian Cupid, is described as the one that carries a bow made of sugarcane stalk, strung by a line of bees and embellished with his five favourite flowers- Ashoka tree flowers, Mango tree flowers, Jasmine flowers and white & blue lotus flowers. Kamadeva, his weapons and the romantic birds turned muse for our collection. We present to you, ‘Loving & Longing’, a collection that is beyond Valentine’s Day, exploring the concept of love, the portrayal of love, the celebration of love.
